Rihanna and Drake are leading the field for the 2012 MTV Video Music Award nominations. Both artists got five noms, with Katy Perry coming in second with four.

The show, which airs September 6 in LA will be aired live at 7PM eastern time. With performances by Alicia Keys and first-time VMA nominees One Direction, you know the show WILL be full of surprises.

The beat is simple. The hook is infectious. Put those two things together and you get 2012′s most downloaded song, Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know.”

In fact this song is so catchy, you might not even KNOW the words, but once that chorus kicks in life seems to stop and you just can’t help but sing it at the top of your lungs. Even if you hate it, and even if you’ve heard it 500 times!

Take a look at two actors you may recognize from the short-lived ABC Family sitcom ’10 Things I Hate About You,  Kyle Kaplan and Nick Braun, as they demonstrate everyone’s reaction when the song we hate to love comes on their playlist.

I know I’ve heard that song enough to last me a lifetime, but even if I LOVE to hate it (or hate to love it), I still can’t help bust out the words when driving in the car.

It’s one of the biggest songs of the year, and easily one of the most infectious! Between being sung by professional football players, to even Maroon 5, Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” has been covered by almost everyone imaginable.

That was until NOW!

Earlier this week, sesamestreet.org released a video on their YouTube page of a certain character’s obsession with cookies, sung to “Call Me Maybe”. That’s right: Cookie Monster gets it in with Carly Rae Jepsen!

In the spoof called ‘Share It Maybe,’ Cookie Monster sings “Hey me just met you, and this is crazy, but you got cookie, so share it maybe,” as he goes around an office on a quest for cookies.

Workers dance and even watch ‘Call Me Maybe’ on their computer while Cookie Monster tries desperately to fulfill his cookie urge, with lyrics like, “Me going off me rocker, please feed me Betty Crocker.”

Pink has been one busy lady in her private life. Between taking time off to deliver her first child Willow Sage last June, she’s been a happy wife to Carey Hart.

In fact, it hasn’t been since late December since Pink had a single out on the radio (“Perfect”). All of you Pink-ites can get your mouths watering, because she JUST dropped a brand new single called “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”.

The title is a tongue-in-cheek type of name that we’ve become used to from Pink. It’s a break-up anthem that just might be a hot summer anthem! The lyrics are as as sharp as any that Pink has spewed in the past. “I won’t miss all of the fighting/ That we always did/ Take it in/ I mean what I say when I say there is nothing left/ No more sick whiskey d—/ No more battles from me/ You’ll be calling a trick/ ‘Cause you no longer sleep/ I’ll dress nice, I’ll look good/ I’ll go dancing alone/ I will laugh, I’ll get drunk/ I’ll take somebody home.”

Paris Hilton is no stranger to getting her picture taken outside nightclubs. In fact, she should be well aware that everything she says or does just might end up on TMZ. So what happens when she forgets she’s a famous sex tape/reality star/heiress? She attacks!

While leaving a nightclub early Wednesday morning in West Hollywood, Paris was filmed inside a parking structure talking on the phone. Once she notices the paparazzo (named Billy Barrera) filming her talking on the phone, Paris goes into full out bath salt mode!

“It was 3:30 in the morning, the party was over and I was just walking through the parking lot to go to the bathroom when I see Paris, so I turned on my camera,” Billy exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

“Paris was acting like she was on drugs. I know drugs, I’ve seen a lot of people on them, and Paris is one of them,” Billy says. ”She attacked me for no reason, like you can see on the video, but what you don’t see is that she was hanging off my neck like a piggy back ride as I walked up to the next garage level.”

After the drama unfolded it turns out her entourage of friends tried to take the camera away. They even went as far as bribing him for the footage. What I want to know is: what the heck was she doing that needs to be hidden!? Put down those “bath salts” Paris!

The Thriller singer died of propofol intoxication after suffering a respiratory arrest at his LA home on June 25, 2009.

Flo Rida is ready to drop his highly anticipated album “Wild Ones” next week (June 25th), and he’s throwing his fans another track to get them set.

On the new track which hit the internet today (June 22nd), Flo Rida teams up with the always gorgeous Jennifer Lopez. Called “Sweet Spot”, J Lo sings in a high falsetto: “Let’s hit the sweet spot..I’m ready to go I want candy tonight”

In fact, she sings so high that it’s almost too hard to tell it’s her!

Regardless, Flo Rida throws in his infamous dance beats, hooks and spits some catchy rhymes:
“I wanna take you back to my spot; You can be the candy girl at my shop; We both know what we crave and what not”

This isn’t the first time Flo Rida and Jennifer Lopez have teamed up for a track. Flo is currently featured on J Lo’s single “Goin’ In”.
