2012 MTV VMA’s Announced! Drake and Rihanna Lead With Most Nominations

It’s that time of the year: when MTV acts as though they actually still play music videos! Yes, it’s the official announcement of the MTV VMA’s for 2012.

Rihanna and Drake are leading the field for the 2012 MTV Video Music Award nominations. Both artists got five noms, with Katy Perry coming in second with four.

The show, which airs September 6 in LA will be aired live at 7PM eastern time. With performances by Alicia Keys and first-time VMA nominees One Direction, you know the show WILL be full of surprises.
