Reality TV: The Winner of American Idol Is…

You’ve had to endure those awful auditions: The numerous versions of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” and Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. Not only did America witness them, but Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson sat there person after person, screech after screech trying to find that ONE future star.

Throughout all of the wrong many sips of Coca-Cola this season, American Idol can finally claim its new winner!

It was a tough decision, but like always the last standing is given the title. America had to decide between the sixteen year-old Jessica Sanchez and the next-door All-American guy Phillip Phillips (still wonder how much he was made fun of for having that name as a child).

America had to base their decisions off of last night’s performances (May 22nd). Phillips who performed his new single “Home”, was given a standing ovation from the entire building. On the other hand, Jessica Sanchez’s new single “Change Nothing” was given thumbs down for being confusing and too mature for a sixteen year-old.

With all of that behind them Phillips and Sanchez teamed up with some of their childhood Idols, plus Rihanna performed her new single “Where Have You Been” during tonight’s (May 23rd) star studded season finale.

But what everyone wanted to know during the entire two hour show was: WHO WON!?
