Nick Cannon is the next generation of media kings. Simply put: Nick does it all. He’s a radio personality, film star, comedian, musician, writer, and executive producer of his very own hit TV shows.
The San Diego native began performing at the age of eight. In his early teens, he ventured to Hollywood to embark on a stand up comedy career. He played the biggest clubs in town and opened for comedy legends Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock.
His club fame propelled his budding acting career. After a short stint on Nickelodeon’s All That, Nick went on to create The Nick Cannon Show which he starred in, directed and executive produced for the network. It ultimately earned him his first Kids Choice Award and made him a household name.
Nick’s success on the small screen led him the world of film. His feature film credits include Drumline, Men in Black II and a role in the Oscar nominated film Bobby. He earned a SAG nomination and won the Breakthrough Actor of the Year at Cannes for his work in the 2006 film. His critical success cemented him as a heavyweight in Hollywood.
While Nick continues to delight audiences and grow as an actor in both blockbusters and indie favorites, he is also building a media empire. Recently, he launched his own multi-media company called NCredible Entertainment, which has several TV shows, films and book series in development and production, including the hit tween book series School Gyrls.
Nick can currently be heard every weekend hosting Cannon’s Countdown, and is slated to return as everybody’s favorite host of America’s Got Talent in the summer of 2012.
